It should be noted that international databases often do not capture CARICOM data at the level of the regional grouping. The CARIFORUM is also not a regional grouping but instead represents a political construct for engagement with the EU (and now the UK separately). Consequently, the required data that must be constructed for each relevant variable will need to be individually identified, examined, and aggregated in order to provide the requisite “regional” assessments. The United Kingdom data is usually available; however, some difficulty arose where the United Kingdom is not identified as a specific reporter and is instead grouped together as part of the EU
