3.2 Course Outlines

At this stage, certain judgment calls were made as to which courses to recommend to Caribbean

Export but it is understood that organizational priorities and finite resources might militate in

favour of different courses (or combinations of themes for courses) to be ultimately decided by

Caribbean Export.

We propose below four main (categories of) courses – digital/ICT related courses; business

management/entrepreneurial courses ; a “new economy” course; and a supply

management/logistics. Our approach allows for different themes/skills to be combined into a

single course, and for courses exploring different dimensions of a recurring theme to be rolled out

in different stages. So, for instance, there are at least three digital/ICT-related courses that have

been linked to other soft skills identified as necessary (such as communication and marketing

skills).
