An overwhelming majority of respondents (82.3%) prefer to receive official certification upon

completion of the training programme (see Figure 19). Beyond certification, general suggestions

from businesses for improving training programmes ranged from developing more practical

programmes that have implementable outputs and are led by qualified hands-on experts rather than

theorists/academics, ensuring the necessary multilingual features are in place for region-wide

programmes, creating a training programme repository to bring greater visibility to existing

training programmes, developing a knowledge hub where free training resources can be stored and

shared, designing in depth training programmes for each sector based on their specific needs,

introducing long term coaching and skills training programmes, hosting Caribbean

entrepreneurship seminars to facilitate networking opportunities, offering more grant funding that

can support upskilling, and providing greater overall coordination to ensure that there are more

regular, affordable, high-quality training programmes (see Annex 6 for list of suggestions).
