EMPOWERING CARIBBEAN BUSINESSES

Caribbean Export is committed to transforming the region’s private sector by equipping businesses with the tools and expertise needed to compete in regional and global markets. Recognizing that the private sector is the backbone of the Caribbean economy, the Agency provides tailored capacity-building solutions to enhance MSMEs technical and financial capabilities. By fostering competitiveness, Caribbean Export helps businesses unlock their potential for growth, job creation, and long-term economic sustainability. In 2024, Caribbean Export intensified its efforts to strengthen the export capacity of regional firms through a diverse suite of programmes, including in-person and virtual training workshops, technical assistance, and access to comprehensive trade and market intelligence services. These initiatives aim to address barriers to export readiness, equipping businesses with the skills and knowledge required to navigate complex markets and seize new opportunities. Recognizing the critical importance of market access, Caribbean Export focused on supporting export-ready firms in consolidating their positions in existing markets and expanding into new regional and international markets. The Agency has also provided targeted support to businesses graduating from its export development programmes, enabling them to scale their operations and diversify their market reach. Throughout 2024, the Agency successfully executed a series of capacity-building workshops and export promotion initiatives designed to empower regional businesses. These activities contributed to sustainable economic growth, increased export opportunities, and improved livelihoods across the Caribbean. By bridging gaps in technical expertise and market access, Caribbean Export remains dedicated to creating a resilient and globally competitive private sector— one that drives economic transformation and unlocks the region’s full potential. Leveraging Trade Opportunities Caribbean Export’s Leveraging the CARIFORUM-European Union Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) workshop aims to enhance the region’s utilization of the trade agreement as a tool to boost exports and investments.
