11TH European Development Fund Implementation Report 2017- 2023

"Hot Mamas"

(c) Business Coaching The Business Coaching programme under WE-Xport began on May 28, 2018 and ended on September 30, 2018. The Programme was the second major initiative under the WE-Xport project, where the twenty (20) female-owned businesses were assigned to one of six contracted international and regional business coaches to assist them with specific areas of weakness within their businesses, which were identified using the Agency’s Diagnostic Assessment Tool. The firms and coaches responded favorably to the Business Coaching programme, yielding numerous benefits. For instance, "Hot Mamas" from Belize became a finalist in the Open to Export International Business Awards Showcase held during the World Trade Forum in Geneva, Switzerland on October 4, 2018. Owner Wilana Oldham pitched to a panel of judges and secured second place. Further evaluation in April 2019 revealed that Business Coaching was the most impactful component of WE-Xport, leading to many successes for the women involved. See table 15 on the following page for highlights of the impact and successes from Business Coaching.
