Creating fairer pathways for women, young people and underserved communities to participate in, contribute to and benefit from the Caribbean economy. Economic Empowerment and Financial Inclusion is about ensuring that opportunity is not limited by age, gender, geography or wealth. It focuses on removing the barriers that prevent people from starting businesses, accessing finance, building sustainable livelihoods and participating fully in economic life. Rather than seeing people as beneficiaries of development, this theme recognises them as entrepreneurs, creators, innovators and change makers whose ideas and talents can strengthen communities and economies across the region.
