Caribbean Export is the regional trade and investment promotion agency focused on building a resilient Caribbean by providing cutting-edge and high-impact support to the private sector. Through working closely with businesses to increase exports and attract investment, we contribute towards the creation of jobs, transformation of our economies and support the Caribbean to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

We implement a range of innovative and focused initiatives designed to facilitate Caribbean businesses expansion nationally, regionally and internationally into high value markets whilst taking advantage of special market access. We assist businesses that have the export potential or are already exporting to increase their capacity and competitiveness, to boost export earnings and create precious jobs.

Our export promotion activities assist firms to utilise the benefits of the trade agreements and penetrate new markets.

Export Development

• Access to finance through grant schemes and other funding programmes such as Angel Investing. • Training for firms and BSOs including ProNET, grant proposal writing and Services Go-Global. • The provision of useful information and resources to support businesses to become export ready. Export Promotion Our export promotion activities assist firms to utilise the benefits of the trade agreements and penetrate new markets. These activities include facilitating the participation of firms at international trade shows and events where they are able to gain exposure and hold business to business meetings with potential buyers or investors.

Investment Promotion

The Caribbean’s privileged geographic location makes the region a perfect location for foreign direct investment. We support the strengthening of Caribbean Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) to facilitate investment as the secretariat for CAIPA. Business process outsourcing, renewable energy, technology in agribusiness and hotel and resort development, are all industries that present great investment opportunity.

We have developed a number of tools and activities to help support the regions private sector. CARIBBEAN EXPORT SME DIAGNOSTIC TOOL - Using a standardised and internationally recognised expert-based methodology, the SMW Diagnostic Tool helps us to accurately assess SMEs identifying where development is required to support their growth. This helps us to ensure you receive the right assistance from Caribbean Export and other Business Support Organisations. CEINTELLIGENCE - Trade and market intelligence is critical to support businesses to penetrate new markets. The CE-Intelligence portal provides market research and data to help businesses make informed decisions on where to export their products or services to facilitate growth.
