Private Sector There is an abundance of farmers with fruit trees available to service the production of packaged fruit juices. Theglobal juicemarket including fruit juiceand vegetable juice holds a major share of the beverage industry. Rising preferences for healthy products and increased health awareness contributes significantly to the demand. With recent legislation in Grenada banning soda in the island’s schools there is a readily available market for fruit juices in Schools, Hotels, Supermarkets and SGU students and visitors. The project will involve the establishment of a packing house for the export of authentic, high quality Grenadian fruits, produce and spices to the regional Caribbean market and internationally- USA, Canada Europe- all of whom are willing to pay premium prices for the products. The operation will involve the consolidation, packing/processing and export of golden apple (june plums), mangoes, soursop, cinnamon, cloves, dasheen and hot peppers.
