A 30-YEAR COMMITMENT, MEASURED IN BUSINESS BREAKTHROUGHS

Our commitment remains the same: turning Caribbean potential into impact.

Thirty years ago, Caribbean Export was established to help the region compete on a bigger stage, building enterprise capability, opening doors to new markets, and advocating for private sector-led growth. In 2025, that mission remained constant, but the context has evolved: markets are more competitive, standards and sustainability expectations are higher, and digital visibility increasingly shapes who gets selected, stocked, and scaled. What has not changed is where impact is ultimately measured, at the level of the business. Across the year, firms supported through our programmes strengthened their export readiness, refined their market positioning, and engaged directly with buyers and partners, moving from interest to clearer strategies and practical next steps. Looking ahead, Caribbean Export will build on three decades of learning and partnerships to deepen results, supporting more CARIFORUM businesses to innovate, meet evolving market requirements, connect with buyers, attract investment and grow sustainably. In 2026, Caribbean Export enters its 30th year with renewed focus under the 2025–2028 Strategic Plan, accelerating delivery across three priorities: helping firms compete and integrate into global markets; expanding the pipeline of bankable, investment-ready projects; and strengthening institutional resilience, transparency, and accountability. We will deepen support to businesses navigating evolving market requirements quality, traceability, sustainability, and digital trade, while scaling targeted assistance for innovation, productivity, and inclusive growth. A defining milestone will be the hosting of the Caribbean Investment Forum (CIF) in Barbados both a celebration of three decades of regional cooperation and a platform to convert dialogue into deals. CIF 2026 will sharpen attention on bankable opportunities, investor matchmaking, and cross-border partnerships that unlock capital, strengthen value chains, and create jobs across CARIFORUM. Delivery in 2026 will be driven by an evolving partnership ecosystem. Building on collaboration with institutions such as Global Affairs Canada (GAC), the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and other regional and international partners featured throughout this report, Caribbean Export will align financing, technical assistance, and market access support, while advancing cross-regional innovation through the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator and the forthcoming EU-LAC Social Accelerator, so that more firms can innovate, attract investment, and grow sustainably.
