This technical assistance took the form of expert-level environmental and process audits, aimed at identifying beneficiaries that are ready to embark on obtaining international certifications. Trinidad and Tobago Sustainability Certification (B Corps) Promoting Green Business and Renewable Energy Adoption To close out the year, Caribbean Export continued the Enhancing MSME Competitiveness with Green Business Practices series with four two-part activities in Bahamas (the), Dominica, Grenada and Suriname. This workshop was designed to strengthen MSME knowledge and practical application of green business practices. Specifically, the intervention sought to: • Upskill and enhance knowledge, • Facilitate practical application, • Strengthen international competitiveness, and • Develop sustainable business practices. A key feature of the intervention was the inclusion of property audits for up to six MSMEs per country, resulting in tailored recommendations and action-oriented guidance for implementation. In conjunction with the audits, the training covered energy concepts and electricity cost drivers; how to interpret electricity bills and link consumption to business activity; energy auditing and data collection; monitoring and managing consumption; renewable energy and efficiency technologies; regional energy efficiency building codes and feed-in tariffs; and resource efficiency and circular economy opportunities.
