FROM POTENTIAL TO PERFORMANCE:
DRIVING EXPORTS THROUGH TARGETED PROGRAMMES
While prioritising inclusion for youth-led, rural-based, Indigenous-owned enterprises and women with disabilities, it aims to empower entrepreneurs to identify the most promising markets, including Canada, acquire knowledge and skills to meet technical requirements and participate in trade missions to generate new business opportunities.
The expected outcomes of this project include:
1.Increased productivity and job opportunities generated by Caribbean women entrepreneurs;
Improved ability of women-led businesses in selected sectors to identify and respond to Canadian market requirements and other international market requirements. 2.
The Agency launched an ambitious baseline survey to create a clear starting point for measuring progress in women-led enterprise readiness and performance. By the end of 2025, the survey had received 956 responses across the region, including 670 responses from the six focus countries providing an early, data-driven picture of constraints and opportunities shaping women’s entrepreneurship (including export participation, digital readiness, and green transition barriers).
