FACILITATING ACCESS TO FINANCE

UNLOCKING FINANCE AND EXPORT POTENTIAL FOR BUSINESSES

Unlocking Finance and Export Potential for Businesses Across the year, Caribbean Export deepened its access to finance work through its strategic partnership with Republic Bank, supported by European Union co-funding under the third Regional Private Sector Development Programme, to launch THRIVE: Unlocking Finance and Export Potential for SMEs - a virtual capacity-building initiative designed to help small businesses strengthen financial literacy, improve export readiness, and better position themselves to access financing. Delivered through a blended model of online learning, live group sessions, and networking opportunities, THRIVE focuses on the practical capabilities entrepreneurs need to scale, building resilience, improving financial management, and identifying pathways to new markets. The programme targets SMEs across multiple Caribbean markets, with participation also extending to Ghana, reflecting Republic Bank’s regional and international footprint. By combining a strong financial institution’s SME ecosystem with Caribbean Export’s export development mandate, THRIVE helps bridge two of the most common growth constraints for regional firms, capability gaps and access to finance, while advancing inclusive, sustainable private sector development aligned with global development goals. "Thrive is an excellent programme. Thank you for giving us this opportunity. This programme is definitely giving hope to small business owners." - Programme Participant Very well put together course for SME and business owners. Instructors were very interactive and gave excellent guidance on the banking outlook that SMEs to follow should take in consideration as it relates of Cost and Financial Accounting practices.” - Programme Participant
