The EU-LAC Social Accelerator aims to promote social innovation by strengthening the resilience of social systems and supporting a green and digital transition that is fair, socially responsible, and inclusive, ensuring that all segments of the population can access and benefit from the opportunities generated by these transformations. Specifically, it aims to enhance social innovation ecosystems in the LAC region through effective collaboration between the public sector, private sector, and civil society. The programme seeks to establish mechanisms that reduce inequality and strengthen social cohesion, with particular emphasis on youth, women, and vulnerable groups, in alignment with the objectives of the EU–LAC Global Gateway Investment Agenda.
