UNLOCKING INNOVATION, INCLUSION AND COMPETITIVENESS

Cainco

The EU-LAC Social Accelerator reflects a shared commitment between Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean to place inclusion, social cohesion, and people at the centre of investment and development under the EU-LAC Global Gateway Investment Agenda. Within this framework, Caribbean Export has played a key role in the consortium. Its deep understanding of the Caribbean private sector ecosystem and its strong engagement with SMEs and regional institutions have been essential to translating the programme’s vision into practical action. By grounding the initiative in real market dynamics and institutional realities, Caribbean Export has helped ensure that social innovation becomes a practical pathway for enterprise development, investment mobilisation, and inclusive growth across the region.

Mauricio Bernardo Llobet Arce Head of Cooperation Projects – CAINCO Team Leader EU-LAC Social Accelerator Programme

At CAINCO, we strongly believe that sustainable growth must be inclusive growth. Our collaboration with Caribbean Export demonstrates how regional partnerships can transform ambitious ideas into tangible results. We remain committed to strengthening this collaboration and expanding the impact of the Social Accelerator in the years ahead.

EU-LAC Social Accelerator: Catalysing Inclusive Social Innovation in the Caribbean The EU–LAC Social Accelerator is a regional European Union programme under the Inclusive Societies Programme, designed to reduce gender and other inequalities across Latin America and the Caribbean. With a strong focus on women, youth, and vulnerable populations - including the poorest 40% of the region’s population - the programme seeks to strengthen the social dimension of the EU–LAC Global Gateway Investment Agenda (GGIA). Caribbean Export is part of an international implementing consortium led by Cámara de Industria, Comercio, Servicios y Turismo de Santa Cruz (CAINCO), and also comprised by the International Trade Centre (ITC), TECNALIA, Confederação das Associações Comerciais e Empresariais do Brasil (CACB), and Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (TEC Monterrey). Through a comprehensive 360-degree approach, the Social Accelerator supports capacity building, fosters multi-stakeholder partnerships, mobilizes third-party funding, and enables the scaling of social innovation solutions. These efforts contribute to a green, digital, just, and inclusive transition, ensuring that social innovation plays a central role in sustainable development across the region.
