CATALYSING INVESTMENT:

FROM DISCUSSION TO DEALS

Impact and Significance for CIF

The Beharry–Amber partnership is a clear demonstration of CIF’s added value beyond the three days of the Forum. The relationship did not begin and end in the conference hall; rather, CIF served as the catalytic environment where a Guyanese conglomerate with a 2030 digital vision and a Jamaican technology company with proven regional solutions could meet, test alignment, and progress from initial conversation to structured collaboration. Savadia is explicit about CIF’s role, describing it as a platform that “got the ones who are necessary to meet together in one place and left the opportunity for people to connect and explore.” He notes that what emerged from CIF was a partnership that “will actually change the Eastern Caribbean quite a lot,” with Beharry–Amber Technologies positioned to serve both Guyana and Suriname as they accelerate their digital transformation. The joint venture with Amber illustrates how consistent participation in CIF, coupled with deliberate follow-up, can generate tangible investment and partnership outcomes. As Caribbean Export marks its 30th anniversary, the Beharry–Amber story stands as a best-practice example of what the Caribbean Investment Forum is designed to achieve: connecting regional and international actors, catalysing partnerships and unlocking “smart, green and connected” investments that strengthen the Caribbean’s digital and cybersecurity backbone while generating new opportunities for high-value technology services and jobs.

partnership outcomes.”
