At the same time, intellectual property, government and transportation services held top five (5) positions across both imports and exports in relation to the supply of services via electronic commerce (Mode 1). Furthermore, Mode 1 was also the main means of importation of Intellectual Property services into the UK and the second most important means by which to export those services from the UK. Maintenance and Repair and Other Business services also appeared to be the most dynamic sectors across both the UK’s imports and exports, registering activity across all available modes of supply, suggesting a predisposition towards multimodal activities. There was also perfect consistency between both the UK’s imports and exports in relation to the sectors in which the temporary entry of services providers (Mode 4) represented a key means of supplying services. The temporary entry of services suppliers was notably relevant to both the importation and exportation of all services simultaneously, with the exception of the manufacturing, transportation, and travel services sectors in both instances.

The CF-UK EPA is a continuation agreement that maintains the same market access commitments and obligations, as well as procedural requirements for entry to the UK, as did the CF-EU EPA before Brexit. In general, as it relates to Services, including Mode 3 commercial establishment/investment, the CF-UK EPA outlines both the treatment and the applicable market entry conditions and requirements for access to each Party’s markets.
