The CARIFORUM region exported US$1.54 billion worth of services to the UK on average annually throughout the period 2008 to 2019. However, the importance of the United Kingdom, as a target market for CARIFORUM’s services exports, was miniscule when compared to the US$236 billion worth of services that the region collectively exported globally over the period 2008 to 2019, with the UK accounting for only US$18.5 billion or just over 7.8% of that global figure. The top five exporters of services to the UK were unsurprisingly Jamaica, which overtook the Dominican Republic, having placed lower on CARIFORUM’s global export rankings, followed by The Bahamas, Barbados and St. Lucia - which was previously ranked in 7 th place on CARIFORUM’s region’s global exports rankings, but which surpassed both Trinidad and Tobago and Antigua and Barbuda to enter the top five vis-a-vis the region’s exports to the UK. This translated into services export shares of between 7.3%, for fifth placed St. Lucia, up to 23% for Jamaica. A total of 10 of the 15 CARIFORUM States registered positive trends in their exports of services to the UK over the period 2008 to 2019, while Barbados, Dominica, Guyana, Haiti and
