i. Strengthening of the CARIFORUM-EU Business Forum as a business-to-business platform aimed at increasing and solidifying access by Caribbean firms to the EU market The CARIFORUM-EU Business Forum has been a useful platform for facilitating increased public-private dialogue between the private sector and government entities, especially in the areas of private sector development and regional policies affecting Caribbean economic growth. The Forum also complements the work on business climate reform, which is being carried out by other regional and international development agencies. Under the 11th EDF RPSDP, the platform continued to be utilised to assist Caribbean firms in increasing their EU market access, by way of the B2B mechanism. (1) 4th CARIFORUM-EU Business Forum The 4th iteration of the Forum in 2019 provided a platform for ninety-three (93) Caribbean goods and services firms, and thirty (30) BSOS representing firms to exhibit their products and services to sixty-eight (68) European buyers and potential investors.

The firms were from four sectors:

RUM

CREATIVE INDUSTRIES

SAUCES & CONDIMENTS

NATURAL PRODUCTS

The intervention especially provided the exhibiting companies access to potential investors, distributors and buyers from the German, European and other international markets in order to increase their visibility as well as exports into these markets. The event also included a musical showcase and a consumer day, which were open to the German public and were new features of the Forum.
