Component 2 of the 11th EDF RPSDP focused on enhancing BSO capacity to better support private sector development. Through this initiative, a variety of interventions were implemented to boost trade and business intelligence capabilities, as well as to reinforce the capacity of investment promotion agencies (IPAs) in attracting foreign direct investment and expanding regional and international networks. Throughout the 11th EDF programming, ongoing efforts were made to enhance the technical proficiency of regional BSOs and TPOs, enabling them to leverage trade, business, and market intelligence services to inform decision-making and facilitate market access for their stakeholders. This underscores the importance of a robust BSO network in driving private sector growth and fostering economic development within the region.
